A Letter From The Editor

Welcome back students of CSI.

The 2021 fall semester has approached us quite quickly, and I’m pleased to introduce myself to everyone at CSI.

I’m Angelina Salvador, the new Editor-in-Chief for The Banner. I’m really excited to take on this very important role. Using my voice has always been something I’ve been passionate about, especially in my writing.

As the EIC, I guarantee every writer and editor will be able to get their voice heard, and let their enthusiasm and interest in journalism be shown in becoming a part of The Banner family we’ve created. Amplifying voices is a crucial part of my job as the Editor in Chief, and it’s important that when writers submit articles, your voice will be heard.

Write for us!

We are always accepting of students who want to write for us, regardless of your major. We’re here to guide you through the process of journalism! There are many sections, including Creative Writing, Politics, Arts & Entertainment, Sex & Relationships, Opinions and many more.

The Banner is a publication that also puts the spotlight on campus related news, clubs and organizations so that students are aware of what CSI has to offer.

We’re an accepting, safe place for any student and we encourage you to join! If you want to see what it’s like to be a writer, editor, or to make new friends and connections, we’re excited to have you join.

The Banner and I wish everyone a fruitful semester and year. We hope to hear from you.

The Banner is currently meeting virtually on zoom for the fall 2021 semester. We hold meetings every Thursday at 3:00pm. For any questions, you can email the.banner.csi@gmail.com. You can receive a Welcome Packet to get you prepared.

With excitement,

Angelina Salvador

Editor-in-Chief
