We all look at models on the runway and think, “There is no way I could ever pull that off”. Sure, fashion on the runway can sometimes seem borderline insane with all the strange and different designs.

However, there are other times when they are actually wearable. There are ways we can all feel like we are a part of the glamorous cat-walk with easy styles that are pretty trendy right now for spring.

Here are my top ten beauty trends that rocked the runway that you could rock too.

#1. Nothing says spring like the color blue, I’m talking about the bright aquamarine type of blue. Blue eyeshadow is classic and makes any lid pop with color. It’s dramatic and vibrant and was portrayed in thick streaks across the lid on the runway this season. Francois Nars at Marc Jacobs laid on a thick swipe of blue pigment along model’s inner corners, while Diane Von Furstenberg had a cleaner cut metallic blue look.

#2. The braids are coming! I mean they have always been around, but now the runway has upped its braid game with the advanced face-framing braids, and simple easy rope braids. Herve Leger had French braids pulled across model’s foreheads while Public School had the two strand rope braids.

#3. French manicures are unoriginal and overdone, but the spring runway revamped this classic look into cool shapes and designs. Cushnie Et Ochs models sported angular oxblood tips, while Jonathan Simkhai models showed off a French mani that goes all around the nail with two tones.

#4. Bright colored liquid eyeliner is also really on trend for spring and popular on the runway. This is great substitute if doing a bright eyeshadow look may be too much for you. This is simple, effortless, and looks festive. Both Hugo Boss and Monique Lhuillier displayed bright blue eyeliner, but you can also achieve looks like this with liquid lipsticks!

#5. Using glitter on your eyes may be intense and bold but can look great with any look depending on how opaque or spare you make it. Glitter can also be applied to other places besides across the eyes, it can be placed along the bridge of the nose and on the brows, but I would only suggest such a thing for special occasions. These looks by Delpozo and Creatures of the Wind may give you some inspiration.

#6. Who would’ve thought a simple ponytail can complement so many fashion looks. The low ponytail is possibly the easiest hair style anyone can do but can still be fashion forward with what you put with it. Think of different fabrics to pair it with, like black ribbon represented from Oscar De La Renta, or just keep it simple like Kate Spade.

#7. Everyone knows red lips are timeless, but how can something so common be remixed for this season? By literally pairing it with nothing of course. Jason Wu lets the lips do the talking for his looks and puts a bit of blush on the lips to give it a velvety texture. Other designers, like Anna Sui, took dark lips out of season and applied it to spring themes.

#8. It’s all about the gold accessories for Rodarte and Givenchy. Big bold accessories can brighten up any dull look and give you an empowered regal appearance. Gold compliments any warm skin tone. The gilded gold hair pieces by Rodarte are especially vintage, while the Givenchy piece is more edgy.

#9. Glossy faces are not usually the first thing that come to mind when ladies apply face makeup. Having dewy skin can make your face look young and supple like Opening Ceremony did, but Marc Jacobs was going for a sweaty, day-after, makeup look. Except the look of perspiration is controlled and created by using virtually no foundation, only Vaseline. Who knew having a perpetually sweaty face can be sexy and cheap?

#10. You’re go-to hair do just became one of spring’s beauty trends! I’m talking about the messy bun or just straight up going with your natural air-dried do. Models actually strutted their stuff in all their natural hair glory and you can too. No need for pins, or a brush, at least for Bottega Veneta and Tommy Hilfiger. Finally, high-fashion recognizes how real women do their hair!
