Media Accused of Being Biased Against Bernie

This 2020 election cycle has shown some very similar themes compared to 2016 in terms of how the mainstream media has treated Bernie Sanders.
When the election started in 2020, CNN and MSNBC attempted to do a ‘Bernie Blackout’ by covering him as little as possible, despite him polling in second at the time.
It was perceived that a blackout in news coverage for the 2020 presidential candidate would possibly work to hurt his momentum. Whenever they attacked him, he would receive more individual small-dollar campaign contributions.
You might be asking yourself if there really is a mainstream media bias towards Sanders – there is.
Chris Matthews of MSNBC (Recently retired due to accusations of mistreating women and outrageous statements) has previously stated, “I have my own views of the word ‘socialist’ and I’d be glad to share them with you in private.
They go back to the early 1950s. I have an attitude about them. I remember the Cold War. I have an attitude towards [Fidel] Castro. I believe if Castro and the Reds had won the Cold War there would have been executions in Central Park and I might have been one of the ones getting executed.”
He only got pushback from Chris Hayes, who stated that Sanders was clearly speaking about social democracy in Scandinavia, but besides that, Matthews didn’t have much action done to him.
Right after the Nevada Caucus when Sanders won in a landslide, he explained, “I was reading last night about the fall of France in the summer of 1940 and the general, Reynaud, calls up Churchill and says, ‘It’s over.’
And Churchill says, ‘How can that be? You’ve got the greatest army in Europe. How can it be over?’”
He did receive pushback for that statement and eventually apologized for it, most likely due to comparing Sanders’ landslide victory of Nevada to the Nazi’s defeating France while Sanders was Jewish and lost direct family members from the Holocaust.
Another MSNBC contributor, Dr. Jason Johnson, has said some very critical statements about Sanders, but one that made him get the bench was when he was in a podcast and blurted out that “White Racist Liberals love them some Bernie Sanders.”
“I don’t care how many people from the island of misfit black girls you throw out there to defend you,” he added.
Chuck Todd from MSNBC also made a statement about Bernie Supporters, calling them a “Digital Brownshirt Brigade.”
For those who don’t know, they were Nazi’s of the SA, a paramilitary group that aided Hitler’s rise to power.
The potentially first Presidential nominee of Jewish descent is being compared to Nazism.
CNN Contributor Abby Philip asked Sanders if Sen. Elizabeth Warren was wrong about him being a ‘secret sexist’ and he stated, “That is correct.”
Right after she asked Warren what she thought about Sanders saying that a woman could not win the election, completely disregarding Sanders’ response to the question.
And recently, at a Sanders rally, a White Supremacist in the crowd brought out a Nazi flag to disrespect the Senator for his Jewish ancestry, and yet the mainstream media does not cover it compared to the amount of coverage they gave to Joe Biden for winning his first contest in a Democratic Primary in 30 years, right before Super Tuesday.
Sanders’ response to such an act was, “I speak not only as a Jewish American – I think I can speak for the families of some 400,000 American troops who died fighting Nazism, fighting fascism – that it is horrific.
It is beyond disgusting to see that, in the United States of America, there are people who would show the emblem of Hitler and Nazism.”
