Aaron Rodgers first press conference with the New York Jets next to owners Woody and Chris Johnson.
Hello everyone, this is the editor-in-chief of the banner saying welcome back. I will be writing this piece weekly; I will speak on a topic or comment about something going on every week. I would love the interaction. As the year goes on, we will have campus topics to speak about as well.
A lot has happened this summer and the first topic I want to speak on as a New York Jet fan and for all Jets fans is the acquisition of Aaron Rodgers who is the best quarterback we have had since 2008 when the Jets acquired Brett Favre.
The Jets will be competitive this year for the first time in a long time, and it will be because they finally have a legitimate quarterback, which some would say was the final piece to make this a championship team.
Can Aaron Rodgers lift this team to the playoffs? Can they win a Superbowl in a conference that is loaded? Will they just be bad and are way to overhyped? Let me know write to me with your opinions below in the comments section.
And if you love to write please stop by Room 1C-228 where we will be having meetings from 2:30 to 3:30 every Tuesday during club hour. This is a publication for the students written by the students, and we are always looking for journalists/writers to help us out.

I also agree with you about the excitement Aaron rogers will bring to nyc Football, but i think another interesting question that can be brought up is which nyc football team will have a better season? I think A lot of people are forgetting the giants made there first playoff appearance since 2016 last season and i think the jets have a lot of pressure to be better than them after getting Rogers so it will be interesting to see what team is better.
Agreed I will be giving the Giants equal time this year for sure and yes Moshood they will be good too with the new addition to defense this week and last they should be a better defensive unit and with Waller it adds another weapon for Jones. I am working on a season preview article watch for it.
Jets are going to be competitive this year no doubt, but the AFC east is loaded and it’s no guarantee they will win their own division. Bills and Dolphins will have a lot to say about the Jets playoff hopes since they will have to play both teams twice.
The fact they split with them last year with no qb whatsoever gives me hope we can split with both teams.
