Getting a degree isn’t the only way to succeed and sometimes college isn’t the right path for everybody. Alex Capellan never liked school, so he started a modeling career instead.

In 2020, Alex Capellan had his first photoshoot for a brand called Idc.aboutclothes. He always loved fashion, so he considered modeling as a fun side quest.
“Catch me walking for Prada in Milan 2024,” Capellan said. “But to anyone in college there’s nothing wrong with focusing on academics, go get that degree.”
Capellan dropped out of college because he wanted a life filled with many accomplishments that he felt he wouldn’t get in college. It felt unnecessary to him to attend school three times out of the week. Capellan felt like his life was slipping away and he didn’t have time to waste on something he didn’t want to do. One of his biggest mistakes was majoring in liberal arts instead of drama.
Instead of finishing college, Capellan pursued his acting and modeling career. He’s not sure which path he wants to follow completely so he dabbles in both. He has a hidden talent of voice acting and whenever he wants to get into character he plays, “Voices” by Randy Orton. He practices this talent by impersonating anime characters like Tengen from demon slayer.

In a recent article it was statistically show that nearly 40% of college students drop out and are expected to earn $21,000 less than college graduates but Capellan doesn’t want to be apart of that statistic. He knows in his heart that he is Destined for greatness and wants to become a New York legend.
“I’m just here for the exposure and to put a small business on the map,” Capellan said. “I would love to get signed and travel the world; that’s enough payment for me.”
For Capellan every day is another opportunity to get better. He’s missed out on many opportunities, lost friendship bonds that he cherished and girls just to focus on creating a better future for himself. He’s not only doing it for himself but so he can set a strong example for his little sister. Just like Capellan she aspires to be a model herself. He wants to guide and help her become the best version of herself that she can be. There’s no better way to do that than to help her through his experience.

He does photo shoots monthly, but he isn’t shy when it comes to showing himself appreciation, so he takes pictures of himself daily. The only way to get comfortable in front of a camera is to constantly act like there’s a camera on you. Capellan would consider himself always camera ready. His secret cheat code for life is to always make sure you dress good and look good no matter where you’re going. For every photo shoot he makes sure that his hair is exceptional. Capellan experimented with his hair color to enhance certain photo shoots. When he was younger, he scarred his hairline, but he doesn’t let it affect how he feels about his appearance. Capellan’s scar makes him feel unique.
“We’ve worked together on a few shoots for Idc.aboutclothes,” Matthew Taylor said. “I show support to Alex all the time; he definitely has talent.”

Out of everything he has accomplished in life he doesn’t regret that he left college to pursue modeling and acting. Going to school in his hometown never gave him the opportunity to experience new things in his life. Now he’s constantly meeting new people and trying different fashion looks. His favorite model is Abdula Yeniang and hopes that one day he can walk the runway with him. Modeling isn’t just about the money for him he enjoys the spotlight of a good photoshoot.
“I truly think my aura is one of one,” Capellan said. “I can’t wait to have a son one day so he can be my little prodigy.”
