On September 11th, 2024, Witnesses described hearing “A loud boom” after Rossani Garmendia was involved in a car accident that afternoon in Tottenville.

Residents of Tottenville and South Shore were horrified by the 2014 Toyota 4Runner that ended up totaled. Local south shore resident, Tom Thomas has lived in South Shore for over 50 years, and he claims he has never seen a wreck quite like this. “How is this even possible, how is she still alive?” said Thomas to reporters.
“Well, I remember in 1975 when the ice cream truck ended up in flames but that was taken out in minutes,” said Thomas. “Patty McNally that quick s.o.b got outta that ice cream truck faster than rabbits f*cking.”
The victim Rossani Garmendia was able to give us a statement regarding the crash, while the other driver declined. When asked if she felt this accident was her fault or the fault of mechanical failures.

Garmendia describes the event saying that while on a two-way street there was a car coming from the side block and was T-bones by a car going the opposite direction.
Garmendia responded “It was a 2-way street, and a sanitation truck was blocking the road… There were 2 cars in front of me, so I decided to drive around the cars at a too fast speed. Not knowing that there was a car coming from a side block… I would later realize that there was something wrong with the sensors.”

Garmendia is not alone when it comes to her automobile’s malfunctions; more than 60
incidents have occurred from June 1987 till July 2011 with mechanical error or malfunction on the road when it comes to the Toyota4runner.
This is far less than compared to a Chevy Silverado which has had over
2500 accidents in a span of 10 years. Toyota has been one of
the pioneers of the automobile industry since 1937. When we contacted Toyota
CEO Koji Sato for a statement, Sato said “The future
is something we all create. In an age of diverse values, the future is
something we will all create together.”
