“Joy to the world” is a very popular song played intentionally around this holiday season. The Brooklyn Tabernacle Church will be hosting a Christmas musical, and many Christmas carols like this one will be sung and orchestrated by this church’s music and acting committee. Performed live at 17 Smith Street in Brooklyn NY starting from December 20th to the 22nd the church will be hosting this play to gather the community together and amuse them with such creativity and talent.

The church has a capacity of 3,200 people seated making it one of the biggest theaters in New York. All of the shows are free and seats are not reserved for performances. Even though the place is huge the seating gets taken easily going on a first come first serve basis, you should get there about 30 minutes before the performance starts to get a good seat. If you can not stay until the end of the celebration it is important that you sit somewhere you will not disturb other members watching when your existing.

For many who don’t know Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has won 6 Grammy awards for “Best Gospel Choir Album in 1993,1995,1999-2001, and 2003, which allowed them to get a lot of recognition publicly that had attracted new members to their church with praise and worship. The whole structure of the church is prepared in advance for this celebration: lights, cameras, and sound effects, where the moment gives the same nostalgic feeling as if you were at a Broadway show.

“At the church you feel at home” said Maryellen. “They welcome tourists very well and have a great affection for them all no matter how they look or dress”.

The Brooklyn Tabernacle performs a Christmas Musical, for all families every year around this time; showcasing songs, dance performances, and plays brought to you by the members of the church (children and adults). It is an incredible place to visit regardless of one’s religion. It is a great opportunity to thank God for being in this beautiful city.

“I will be attending this year, the Christmas show was amazing the last time I went .” said Thompson. “Somehow they found outstanding vocals, great actors, very good dancers, and choreography all from that small town”.

“I have attended their Christmas shows for the last three years, it is absolutely entertaining and wonderful,” said Brown. “Very friendly and helpful staff and a really great show, with fantastic singers, I truly enjoyed it”.

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has been recording since 1980 and also got the opportunity to sing “Battle Hymn of the Republic” during Barack Obama’s second inauguration in 2013. The play is located in Brooklyn NY and also virtually gives members and viewers a chance to catch the performance live free of admission to watch a show of a lifetime. During the play, the performers try to reenact the Nativity scenes making it so realistic that we feel as though we are there. Creche is a representation of the scene of Jesus Christ’s birth. It’s the nativity scene that is displayed at Christmas, with the manger, Mary, Joseph, and the three wise men. Gives people imagery from the moment the angel Gabriel tells the Virgin Mary she will have a child when Mary gives birth to the baby Jesus and receives visits from shepherds and wise men bearing gifts as what is stated in the Bible.

“The event was organized excellently by friendly and welcoming volunteers and multi-confessional speech focusing on love, and faith” said Carter. “Available in streaming if you like to preview but on-site experience with all people attending is a must”.
