When flowers and chocolates aren’t enough here comes your carrier made of wicker and love.

Out of all of the holidays of the year there is one full of amour and passion from every corner and that is Valentine’s Day.
Flower shops prepared the bouquets, stores stocked their shelves with stuffed teddy bears, stuffed hearts, and countless boxes of chocolate. As fast as it is to snatch any off the shelf, why not get a little more creative?
Presented to you is “The Love Basket”. Chocolates and flowers are the go-to’s but that’s too easy in comparison to what can be brought to the table.
First, of course, let’s start off with the ladies. You can never go wrong with roses and chocolate, but you can go wrong when it is just the same thing every year. But, those “every year” items are what will be the start up and now you can begin to get creative.
There are always the body products like lotions, body wash, body scrubs and maybe if your memory is on your side, their favorite perfume. A nice hot bath would go perfect with that and to follow it up, the lovely scent of a candle. Eventually as that hot bath cools down, they will need something to warm them up after they are dried and that is going to be fluffy socks or slippers. To jazz up the basket could be hot chocolate packs or a cute mug. Either way, it is sure to make your special lady smile.
Onto the gentlemen, which could get tricky but do not fret just yet. Rumor has it that flowers are more of a “girl’s thing”.
That only leaves the big question, what is a man’s “flowers” on Valentine’s Day?
Cologne, body wash and lotion, all the typical things to pick up. Now, what if we add some socks? Or maybe plain t-shirts? It all depends on your partner but, you can not go wrong with their throw-ons underneath their button-up shirts. Especially that there can never be enough socks in the drawer. You can throw in their favorite snacks and drinks but just enough where your basket won’t weigh 20 pounds. Do they like to go to the gym? With a little research and a couple of questions, throw in some protein power, protein snacks and a new protein bottle while you are at it. If they like coffee or tea, a new thermos would be nice. Also, a nice fluffy throw blanket of a solid color, their favorite tv show or movie, or, to give yourself a challenge, their favorite sports team.
The best part about this basket is that all of these items are within reach. You can check out Target, Five Below, T.J. Maxx, any department store of your choice. The basket itself will be dictated in two ways: the amount of items and your vision of presentation.
It could even be a bucket.
Beyond the purchases, pick out your favorite photo of you and your partner, find a pretty frame, and that will stand up next to your completed project. Along with “The Love Basket” will be a card that says “Happy Valentine’s Day!”
