So America’s Big Game, Super Bowl LX, took place just a few days ago, where in their rematch
the Seattle Seahawks demolished the New England Patriots (29-13).
The Halftime show was headlined by Puerto Rico Rapper Bad Bunny and made historic numbers with over 128 million people tuning into his performance.
But with the Super Bowl comes new commercials and with new commercials comes new movie trailers for upcoming films. Here are some of the trailers that were shown at the Super Bowl.
Hoppers
Pixar is one of the biggest animated studios of all time and has made so many cult classics to this
day. With over 29 films, both Disney and Pixar have built a huge empire. Now Pixar’s newest
film is Hoppers, which follows animal lover Mabel whose mind is transferred into a robotic
beaver to communicate with animals and save their habitat from destruction. Pixar’s Hoppers
will release in theaters on February 28, 2026.

The Mandalorian and Grogu
Star Wars is considered to be one of the greatest franchises of all time. One of the most popular
projects released was The Mandalorian on Disney Plus with over 3 seasons. By now, everyone knows of the iconic “Baby Yoda” (real name Grogu) who took the world by storm. Now, Mando and Grogu are back, but on the big screen for the first time in a new action packed adventure. This will also be the first Star wars movie in theaters in over 7 years since the release of The Rise of Skywalker back in 2019. The Mandalorian and Grogu hits theaters on May 22, 2026.

Supergirl
James Gunn’s Superman, which is the start of the new DCU, released last summer and was
easily my favorite movie of the entire year. Now, Gunn is following that up with a brand new
Supergirl movie starring House of the Dragon actor Milly Alcock. This is easily my most
anticipated movie of the entire year. The film will follow Kara and her superdog Krypto as they
encounter a tragedy that leads Kara on a “murderous quest for revenge.” The film will also
feature the anti-hero Lobo played by actor Jason Momoa, who also played Aquaman in the previous DC Extended Universe. Supergirl will hit theaters on June 26, 2026.

Minions And Monsters
The minions from Despicable Me are back, again. This third installment in the Minions
franchise takes place before the events of the first Despicable Me film and follows a new cast of
minions unlike the ones from the first two films. The film is set in the 1920’s where three minions
head to Hollywood and inadvertently summon a monster from a spellbook. Although I’m not a
personal fan of the Despicable Me franchise and its Minion spin-off films, you can definitely be
rest assured that the kids will love this. Minions and Monsters hits theaters July 1, 2026.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
After the enormous success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Nintendo and Illumination had to of course follow it up with a sequel, and what better way to do it then to base the second film
off the Super Mario Galaxy games. In my opinion, the Super Mario Galaxy games are not
only the best of the franchise, but some of the greatest games ever made, so to finally see those
games be adapted on the big screen means the world to me. In the film, Mario, Luigi and their
new friend, Yoshi, join Princess Peach and Toad on an outer space adventure where they face off
against Bowser’s Son Bowser Jr. The first film’s ensemble cast are all returning with some new
additions like Brie Larson as Princess Rosalina and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr. The movie hits
theaters on April 1, 2026.

Project Hail Mary
Project Hail Mary is a movie based off of the 2021 science fiction novel written by
Andy Weir and stars Barbie and La La Land actor Ryan Gosling. The movie follows Ryland
Grace on his journey to recover his memories and solve a scientific mystery with the help of an
unexpected alien ally, as he races against time to save humanity. I’m a sucker for Sci-Fi films so
I’m super pumped for this one. The movie hits theaters March 20, 2026.
