CSI has a student life problem with boring events, no homecoming experience, and energy that sucks the life out of you.

Close your eyes and think about this question for a moment. When you think about “the college experience,” what do you think about? Homecoming? Campus fun? Student interactions? Everything I mentioned here is what CSI is lacking, nobody will interact with anybody on this campus unless it’s necessary to do so.
Most of my classes will end, and it’s like a ghost town with no interactions at all. It is rare that I get a conversation, and most of the time it will be because I have a group project or if I bump into someone and have to say, my fault.
Covid-19 can be faulted for the lack of student interaction, as nobody wants to socialize even though it has been six years since social distancing was a thing, but I still feel its presence in CSI.
Homecoming is usually for college football, but the closest we can get to a homecoming at CSI is Fin Night hosted by the CSI basketball team. I hope it makes a return down the line, as it gave some life to CSI.
CSI hosts fun campus events, but they take too long to appear in the year. We should have two spirit weeks, one in the Fall and one in the Spring, instead of only one that happens in April, and it’s hard to know about it because of the lack of advertisements/flyers that seem to keep everyone in the know.
When it comes to CSI, the environment is a sight to behold, but the students can make it unlively despite the cherry blossom trees that grow in Spring.
Maybe one day, everyone will know each others name like a real lively college environment would.
