For many college students around the United States, spring break is a time where we get to unplug from all our academic stresses and venture out into the youthful world around us.
Here’s how some CSI students spent their Spring Break 2k26:

“Over Spring break I had the pleasure of spending a week in the Netherlands where I was able to spend time inside the windmills and try some traditional Dutch food,” said Tosson. “This picture in particular is from Zaanse Schans. It’s a historic open-air residential area in Zaandam, Netherlands, famous for its 18th-19th century industrial windmills, green timber houses, and traditional crafts.”

“This break I took some well needed time to get myself together and prioritize my well-being over feeling overwhelmed and on the move constantly. So often we’re taught to have “productive” days, leaving us feeling we aren’t working ourselves to the bone, making our lives mean nothing,” said Geronimo. “I rebuke those draconian practices so, I took the time to do absolutely nothing but rest and recover.”

Spring Break was a great time to reflect, spend time with my family and take a break from the stress of school and assignments,” said Mani. “It also gave me the opportunity to recharge and rest so that I can return to school prepared to take on the last few weeks and finals.”

“During spring break I entered a 5 v 5 basketball tournament held by the college, leaving victorious, winning all of our matches,” said Masimo. “After the tournament I spent the rest of my spring break exploring the city, catching up on some assignments and well needed rest.”

“Over spring break, I went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with my boyfriend and his family,” said Sinodinos. “Every morning, we woke up bright and early for the sunrise and went on various hikes. This trip was really relaxing, and I definitely needed the time away to unwind from the stresses of this semester.”

“Going to book signings or celebrity meet and greets is something I love to do, but it’s always tough getting to go during the semester because of events falling during class time,” said Musto. “Spring break gave me the chance to go to some events without them interfering with my classes.”

Even though classes weren’t in session, I spent most of my spring break on campus finishing up rehearsals for CSI’s theatrical production of “This Murder Was Staged,” said Schell. “I played Jason Greene, a cowardly and paranoid playwright who gets caught in the middle of the investigation into the murder of a play director. Despite the long, tedious hours, it was an absolute pleasure getting to spend my break with such a fun and talented cast of student actors.”
Like many other students who traveled overseas, I was blessed to spend my entire break on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Home of the infamous Piña Colada and singers such as Bad Bunny and Daddy Yankee. The Boricua people welcomed me with open arms, sharing their rich culture and cuisine, making my stay one to remember.

As we’ve all safely returned to classes and with finals swiftly approaching, just remember to take a deep breath, tackle one task at a time and study hard so that you can play even harder in the end.
