From Lip Liners to Blushes, Sephora’s New Line Has it All

A Walk Through the Newest Lineup of Must Have Beauty Products

By Brielle Sparacino

Almost every teenage girl spends money on makeup at Sephora at some point in her life, but there is a fine line between occasional spenders and makeup addicts.

Personally, I am a makeup addict, I can’t go more than a week or two without spending money on something I probably don’t need.

Because I buy so much makeup on a regular basis, I tend to get a bit restless when I hear about a new product and I can’t get my hands on it right away.

For example, when beauty guru Jaclyn Hill collaborated with BECCA cosmetics and debuted her, notorious, highlighter ‘Champagne Pop’, it was safely tucked away in my cosmetics collection within the first few weeks of its release and it only took that long because it was constantly sold out in stores and online.

Luckily, there are brand new products making themselves known in Sephora stores everywhere, and I’m going to tell you the best ones to try.

First up are the new Rouge Gel Lip Liners brought to you by the Sephora Collection.

These lip liners are creamy and long-lasting, and while they aren’t completely matte as most liners are, they have just the right amount of shine so they’re able to be worn alone or underneath another lip product.

These liners available in nearly twenty colors and only $12 each, which is inexpensive in comparison to other brands.

Now, you can buy five of them at a time without completely mourning the loss of your most recent paycheck.

Next, we have the newest additions to the Sephora Collection’s Bright Future Gel Serum Concealers, so let’s give a warm and much-needed welcome to the Bright Future Color Correctors.

Available in five shades, each corrector has a specific purpose to aid in giving you the best-looking skin possible.

Similar to Make Up for Ever’s Step 1 correcting face primers, there is a green shade to neutralize redness, a yellow shade to help fight dull skin, pink-toned corrector to enhance your skin’s brightness, a peach shade to even out skin tones with a light complexion, and a melon shade to even out skin tones for medium complexions.

These correctors are $14 each, which make them much more affordable than Make Up For Ever’s primers.

Another addition to the Sephora Collection are the Perfection Mist Airbrush Blushes.

As an extension of the Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundations, the blushes are available in four shades that flatter every skin tone. These blushes also give even applications during every use, and their staying power is fantastic. The best part is that they only retail for $20 each.

The Perfection Mist blushes are not the only new blushes on the market. Kat Von D just released her new Shade + Light Two Tone Blushes exclusively at Sephora.

Although the Kat Von D blushes are five dollars more than the Airbrush blushes, they are nearly double the shades available, with each blush compact containing two highly pigmented and silky textured powder blushes.

If you like having more options at your fingertips, Kat Von D’s blushes may just be the right kind for you.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer is another emerging product among the mass of tempting new cosmetics this year.

Retailing at $23, the Brow Definer has a triangle-shaped point that is designed to make filling in your brows a lot easier.

While the Anastasia Brow Wiz is my personal favorite, the Brow Definer is great for someone who is willing to switch up their usual brow routine.

Last, but not least, is the NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 30.

Besides having the obvious benefit of a high spf for makeup lovers who care about protecting their skin, this product is oil-free and will keep your skin looking the most natural form of dewy.

Since this product is a tinted moisturizer and not a foundation, it won’t feel as heavy as many foundations usually would.

Not only has the product gotten rave reviews from online shoppers, it also comes in a diverse range of colors to fit nearly every skin tone.

The only downside about this product would be its price, which is $44, I would definitely consider it a “splurge on yourself” type of product.

If you’re able to run to your nearest Sephora soon, make sure to grab at least one of these products before they sell out.

In case you needed another arrival to look forward to, Sephora’s Minnie Mouse Collection is set to launch in stores around the country this April.
