Kanye’s Debuted Yeezy Season 3”
By Briana DelBuono
The new clothing line has a variety of knitted clothing, sweaters with holes in them, nudes, wrinkles, layers and more. But it leaves people wondering, what was Kanye West going for when he developed this season?
Supposedly going from a more budget friendly line, West also made the clothes appear more affordable too, offering sweaters with gaping holes in them.
A basic sweatshirt from his first Season, sold for $3,800. As season two rolled in, prices dropped to $1,200. This year, they are expected to drop even further.
West even stated that he’s “going to get them lower,” when asked about the unaffordable prices by a fan who wanted to don the gear but couldn’t cough up the money.
Though West is keeping most of his upcoming line under wraps, he has been occasionally leaking pictures onto his Twitter account lately
Also debuting on Feb 11. is his new line of all-white Yeezy 350 Boosts – something his line has never seen before. West has worked closely with Adidas in previous seasons so it is likely he may have collaborated with them again this season.
He even picked out his wifey, Kim Kardashian’s outfit for the premier. She will be rocking a distressed knit sweater with what appears to be a fringe skirt with detailed beading.
Those won’t be the only new shoes you see this season. West designed a pair of waterproof boots entitled, “Waterproof 1050s.” They are pretty hard to miss so be on the lookout for those as well.
West also took to Twitter to announce that he needed to “call Leo Dicaprio and Floyd Mayweather” and that he “spoke to Mike Tyson yesterday” in reference to who was getting a coveted seat to the awaited event.
There will be a performance by Vanessa Beecroft who is known for her standing models, which West has freely adapted in his debut, thus doing away with the traditional runway aspect.
Kylie Jenner, who has made appearances on West’s runway the past two consecutive seasons, may be walking this season as well. Details have yet to submerge.
Overall, Season 3 appears to have various versions of neutral colored clothing, oversized sweaters, trench coats, and bodysuits.
If you took a quick glance at the leaked photos of his clothing and the models underneath them, you might just miss them entirely. The models are all of the emaciated variety. Whether or not this was done on purpose, is not known.
West has not left a thing out, including hats and leggings in his broad style collection. Spectators say he’s stepping out of the box.
One thing that can be said is that West is a fan of tapered bottoms. Those are in abundance in pretty much all of his seasons.
You can rest assured that his clothing is going to remain oversized, unique, and unpredictable, as that is recurring trait in all his seasons.
As for the prices, they may continue to decrease so hopefully when one sweatshirt is $50 and not $500, we’ll be able to rock them without mortgaging our houses! Good things are ahead.
