On February 8th, 2022, it became a sad day for Tampa Bay Buccaneer and NFL fans after hearing the shocking news of Tom Brady`s call to retire. Everyone knew he was getting older, and it was soon time for him to hang up the boots. Brady`s long successful trajectory led many fans to believe he wouldn’t stop anytime soon.

The sadness and shock lasted only 40 days because on March 13th, Brady announced to come out of retirement and continue playing for the Buccaneers in the upcoming season. Brady announces his return to the football field and says it’s not time to be in the stands.

“These past two months, I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG” via Twitter: @TomBrady.

Tampa Bay was anticipating Brady`s announcement of returning to the football fields. The Bucs were well prepared for the return of Brady because he was still in contract and wasn’t making moves yet to acquire a new quarterback. According to NFL.com, the Bucs had their eyes on Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson but never offered a trade.

The NFL Draft is coming next month, specifically April 28th – April 30th. Draft rumors are circulating as always around this time of year, and after many Buccaneer fans are relaxed to have their quarterback stay for at least one more season. Some suggest he may be on the way out.

Rumors and reports suggest Brady might be working on a trade to the Miami Dolphins. The news is only speculation, and the sources are unknown, making these rumors not believable. Only time will tell when the draft arrives next month and when the new season starts on September 8th, 2022.
